4 Dead And Others Wounded in Sarona Market Complex Terror Attack


ta012After doctors struggled for hours to save the life of yet another victim or the Sarona Market Complex, a woman, they had no alternative but to pronounce her deed, bringing the death toll to four.

Surveillance cameras in the Max Brenner store in the complex showed the terrorists sat as they waited to strike out indiscriminately, firing at innocent people in all directions. The video footage showing the waving motion of their weapons clearly indicating they intended to hit as many people as possible.

The shooting took place on a number of streets of the complex, beginning on HaArba’a Street and then heading in the direction of the Ministry of Public Security Office. It was the security agents of that office and of the Sarona Market who shot and wounded the terrorist. He remains in moderate condition. The second was apprehended.

A large police force arrived as did IDF soldiers from the Kirya (Defense Ministry) nearby. Tel Aviv Police Chief Moshe Edri was also on the scene relatively early into the incident. B’chasdei Hashem the terrorists were neutralized shortly after they began firing or the outcome could have been significantly worse.

The terrorists are both PA (Palestinian Authority) residents, from Dura in the Hebron district.

Update on the Victims:
Ichilov Hospital
Three victims remain hospitalized, with three listed in moderate condition and two light.

Sheba Medical Center at Tel Hashomer
One victim remains in moderate condition.

Hamas spokesman Hassan Budran responded to the attack saying “It is the first of many surprises for Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu during the month of Ramadan”. He added it is a message as the attack was in the heart of Tel Aviv, near the ‘Kirya’ Defense Ministry.

Tel Aviv Mayor Ron Huldai calls on citizens of the city to remain calm and continue their daily routine. That said, police in the city are increasing patrols in public areas and around the city’s schools. The Security Cabinet is set to convene on Thursday afternoon, 3 Sivan.

The response throughout the PA (Palestinian Authority) was jubilation as residents danced in the streets and distributed candies. The same was true in the area of Shar Shechem in Jerusalem.
