In a police operation in the northern district aimed at apprehending PA (Palestinian Authority) illegals inside Green Line Israel, border police apprehended 71 PA residents lacking permits to enter “Israel proper”.
After the PA illegals were arrested, security checks were conducted to determine if any of them are wanted by Israeli authorities. 67 of the illegals were sent back over the Green Line to PA areas while four are were remanded as they appear on the wanted list.
The operation was prompted by this week’s fatal terror attack in Afula in which IDF soldier Private Edan Atias HY”D was stabbed to death.
