Israel at war – Day 3 (Friday 7/14/06)

11:20 pm:? ***NAVY SHIP STRIKE UPDATE***? Reports are now coming through the wire that an explosives laden drone is what seriously damaged the Israel Navy ship off Beirut. (Not a Katushya rocket.)? Foreign news services are? reporting that four crewmembers were missing.

9:49 pm: US President George W. Bush rejected Lebanon’s calls for a cease-fire in escalating Mideast violence on Friday, saying only that Israel should try to limit civilian casualties as it steps up attacks on its neighbor.? President Bush, speaking to Prime Minister Fuad Saniora while flying from Germany to Russia, said Israelis have a right to protect themselves.

9:46 pm: The Israeli navy confirmed that one of its vessels was attacked by Hizbullah off the shores of Beirut, but said there are no casualties.The vessel is on fire the army said.?

8:45 pm:? ? Palestinian security sources said more than 1,500 Palestinians have entered into Gaza through the Egyptian side of the Rafah crossing, this occured after gunmen exploded parts of the crossing�s security wall. Israeli helicopters have opened fire near Palestinians as they poured into Gaza from Egypt.

8:37 pm: A Charedi teen was stabbed in the back near Rechov Haneviim in Yerusalem by an Arab resident who fled the scene. His condition is reported to be moderate.?

8:00? pm: A Katyusha rocket exploded in a house in the Miron community? killing two women.

7:12 pm:? Rockets have just struck Nahariya.?

7:02 pm: Katyusha rockets are slamming into Tzfas, Kiryat Shmona, Carmiel and Hatzor at this time.6:41 pm:? ? Kibbutz Zikim & Kibbutz Gonen have just been struck.

5:21 pm:? ? Katyusha rockets have just landed in the Yesod HaMa�aleh area, where one person has been seriously wounded, & in the Upper Galilee community of Hulta, where one person was lightly wounded.

4:00 pm:? MDA reported that since the morning hours, 49 people were wounded along the northern border. Over 700 Katyusha rockets and mortar shells have been fired on northern Israel? – since Hezbollah declared war on Israel a senior IDF official reported on Friday. [I sure hope that the IDF is raining hell on these animals–YW Editor.]? 3:58 pm: Three Katyusha rockets just landed in Kiryat Shmona – unknown injuries? ?

3:09 pm: At least two Katyusha rockets hit the area near Carmiel, northeast of Haifa, several minutes ago.? ?

3:00 pm:? Katushya’s have just struck the Druze city of Pekayin, causing several injuries. Rockets also hit Beit Ja’an and Ma’alot.

2:40 pm: A person was just seriously wounded, and many others injured when a fresh round of Katushya’s poured down onto Naharyia and Tzefas.?

2:05 pm: Katushya rockets continue to rain down on Kibbutz Sa�ar, the town of Ban Ami, Kibutz Be’eri.

10:58 am: Katusya rosckets have just struck Kibutz Baram, Rosh Pina, & Tzefas.8:41 am: Qassam lands in western Negev causing a fire; no casualties reported.

8:14 am:? ? A third Qassam hit reported in Sderot; no casualties or damage.

8:11 am:? ? A Katyusha barrage landed near kibbutz Baram in the Galilee panhandle.

8:04 am:? ? Two Qassam rockets hit Sderot; there are no immediate reports of casualties, and/or damage.

6:35 am: The IDF has confirmed that the rockets fired by Hizbullah into Haifa on Thursday night were manufactured by Iran.?

6:25 am:? The IAF has bombed The IDF has bombed Hizbullah headquarters, an electricity generating station in Beirut, and a neighborhood in southern Beirut which houses many senior Hizbullah commanders and their families.4:55 am: Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad promised overnight Thursday to repair all damages caused by IAF air strikes in Lebanon. 4:51 am: The IAF has just struck two targets in Gaza? – a Hamas facility in the Jabalya area and a bridge in Central Gaza near Nuseirat.3:50 am:? The IAF has bombed a southern suburb of the Lebanese capital of Beirut, where Hizbullah offices are based.? ?

3:30 am: INN is reporting that? A senior Hamas leader fled Egypt for Syria Thursday night after Egyptian authorities warned that Israel planned to target him. Mohamed Nazal was in Cairo for talks with Egyptian officials. [I’m just wondering why Egypt is having “talks” with this guy?–YW Editor]

2:20 am: Israeli planes have dropped leaflets over Beirut neighborhoods, warning residents to stay away from Hizbullah offices and neighborhoods in the southern part of the Lebanese capital.
