As YWN has been reporting, the HaRav Zalman Leib Teitelbaum is currently leading a massive journey to Mekomos Hakedoshim across Europe together with nearly 1,000 Satmar Chassidim.
One of the major stops on the trip is Siget, the historic Romanian city that was once home to the Satmar dynasty, including the Beirach Moshe and previous Satmar Rebbes.
In recent years, HaRav Aharon Teitelbaum oversaw the construction of a magnificent Bais Medrash in Siget for Satmar Chassidim traveling to the area to daven and connect with the rich history of the kehilla.
Ahead of the Williamsburg Rebbe’s arrival, a delegation from the Williamsburg faction reportedly reached out to the Kiryas Yoel faction requesting permission for the Rebbe and the hundreds of accompanying Chassidim to utilize the facility during their stay in Siget.
Rav Aharon graciously approved the request and opened the doors of the Bais Medrash for his brother and the large delegation.
Not only that, but Rav Aharon also dispatched two prominent Chassidim to personally greet the Williamsburg Rebbe upon arrival and provide him with a tour of the building. The two were Reb Asher Shaya Horowitz, who oversees the Siget complex, and Reb Shloma Hersh Eckstein, son of Reb Dovid Eckstein, the Satmar Rosh Hakohol in Kiryas Yoel.
Many within Satmar are viewing the gesture as another sign of warming relations between the two factions after decades of tensions following the leadership split roughly 20 years ago.
The development comes shortly after a recent Kol Koreh signed jointly by both Rebbes regarding the division of Satmar’s yerusha, a move that was itself seen as highly significant.
Over the past two decades, both Rebbes have built enormous kehillos numbering in the tens of thousands, with expansive institutions and batei medrash in both Williamsburg and Kiryas Yoel.

As a certain godol once said and I think it can be applied over here. ‘What a beautiful story, but how sad that this is a beautiful story!’
It’s sad that this is even an issue but what a Kidush Hashem. Beautiful. I wish all rebbes and litvish mosdos do the same
And they designed in a way that you feel that you are in some Satmare Beis Medrash in New York. Amazing!
The author here is way way behind the times. The two Rebbes have been getting along and helpful to each other for many years already.
Even if it isn’t reported.
I wish all them יום-ירושלים שמח
ujm: when it becomes obvious and public —Bobov might follow
Bobov 45 rebbe already clearly said that nobody should fight with the other one or mistreat anybody
Siblings treating each other with respect.
What a crazy chilul hashem that this is NEWS.
Bobov 45 never fought with bobov 48, It is the other way around. Bobov 45 employs bobov 48 people. But you will never see bobov 45 people employed in bobov 48. In Satmar both factions get along, friendly, business, shiduchim. Never in bobov factions.

@rebEmes
Different mentality. Satmar conflict is a business disagreement. Bobov conflict is a personal conflict.
