I hope to take the Dirshu test tonight in Far Rockaway, but I have no idea what to expect. I'm just going based off an ad in the newspaper.
    Is the test in English?
    Is it multiple choice?
Is it 'open Gemara' (do we need to bring a gemara)?
Do I need to bring anything other a pen (money, ID, etc.)?
Anything else you might find enlightening to add?

    Thanks.

I have nothing to add other than to wish you Hatzlacha. I hope you do well and you should know that you are part of a big Kiddush Hashem.

    For those wondering:
The test was in Lashon Kodesh, but allowed you to answer in English. There were about 30 short-answer questions. It was closed book and closed notes, and all you need to bring is a pen and your Dirshu ID number (if you have one).
I found the test challenging, but only because I didn't study specifically for the test. I do some chazara as part of my seder, but have not touched some of the material in 2+ weeks. I hope iy'H to do even better on the next bechina.

What type of questions are asked? Is it basic level questions like pashut pshat what does this one hold what does that one hold?

There are two tracks- Gemara with Rashi and Gemara, Rashi, and Tosafos. I took the Gemara-Rashi one. The questions are mostly pashut questions that anyone could answer one day after learning the daf. the trick is remembering the details 30+ days later (yesterday's daf was 39, but the test was on 2-32).
For example, during these 30 dafim, the Gemara analyzes many pesukim from Tanach and gives various interpretations (al tikra X, ela Y, etc.). For one question, the bechina had one pasuk and just asked for the five interpretations given.
Similarly with halachic discussions; it might ask for all the opinions given in X braisa or for two reasons that we might make a chiluk between different types of people in the application of another halacha.

A23, Is the Dirshu Test pass or fail, or do you have to do really well to make it, and how much is the reward for the Gemara Rashi test?

    talmud,
They score it on a % basis.
    80 ‐84: $110 for married, $75 for a bachur
    85 – 94: $130 for married, $90 for a bachur.
    95 – 100: $160 for married, $110 for a bachur.

A23 - I am not going to say test was easy but there was no question requiring 5 pshatim in a drasha. On the contrary, one question asked for 3 of the 4 pshatim in a pasuk.
