    To the editor,
Happy Purim and I think YWN is doing phenomenal job reporting kosher news to the yeshiva world.
I like to share an incident that happened over Purim this passed year and I hope it will open eyes and change people for the better.
For the passed couple of year I was zoche to drive two rabbis around to collect money on Purim night in Boro Park. I don’t live in Boro Park and I am not Chasidic. When I saw how bachurim and even adults act. I was taken back but at the same time it gave me chizuk. Even though we’re still in exile. We can still celebrate simchas Purim like this.
This year was different. When I got to Boro Park Motzie Shabbos, it wasn’t that busy. But later on in the night it got much crowed and there was a lot of traffic.
But that didn’t bother me, because there is always traffic in Boro Park.
On my last stop I was heading towards 39th street and I was on 14th AVE and 45th.
People doubled park and I was trying to get a head and there was a black sedan had flashing lights in front of me next to it the was another car. The passengers were throwing stuffed animals between cars. The first car passed in front of me and I was trying to get a head until the other car wanted to cut me off to the point that we almost collided. I looked at the other drive and I motioned to him that it wasn’t right what he was doing. You can see that the kids were drinking and I say KIDS because there were KIDS driving. All of the sudden we got to a red light and the black sedan stopped. Even when the light changed to green, the guy didn’t move. It went like this for around two cycles. Until there was a Chassidic bochur standing by my window yelling in Yiddish and pointing to the back. I don’t understand Yiddish; I asked the rabbi. He didn’t want to translate. Later on I found out that it wasn’t nice what the kid was saying. All of the sudden I look around and I see around 8 Bachurim and the driver circling my car. They wanted me to get out of my car and fight with them. I WAS TAKEN BACK, Which MITZVAH ARE they mekaim? A Jew wanted to beat up another Jew on Purim. I am sure Mordechy would be proud. . I wanted to get out of the car and call the police. But the rabbi told me to close the window. After ward the kids went back to their cars and let me tell you I was going to call the police. These under age kids were drinking and driving. It’s a very serious offense. Where are their parents, where is the mechanchim?
