(For my questions below, they are all dealing with a scenario where there is no city eruv nor smaller eiruv chatzeros.)

Regarding carrying from one Reshus haYachid (RH”Y) directly to another RH”Y (with nothing in between), is this assur? If so, is it d’Oraisa or d’Rabbanan? (ex. from one apartment to an adjoining apartment, of different ownership, through a common door.)

I heard in a shiur that the answer to this would depend on whether the transfer is taking place between ‘bayis to bayis’ or ‘chatzar to chatzar’.

He said that if from chatzar to chatzar, (for example across the fence from one person’s private fenced garden to his neighbour’s private fenced garden) then it would be completely muttar! But bayis to bayis is assur.

Has anyone here ever heard of such a chiluk?

Can you show me the source for such a heter?

    Thanks.

It’s a slight mistake. The idea is not the house per se. From a Chatzer to another Chatzer is Muttar if:

The Chatzeiros each belong to more than one person.

The inhabitants of those Chatzeiros did not make an Eiruv, and therefore they aren’t carrying out anything from their house into their Chatzer.
