Has anyone else noticed that the coffee has a really strange taste lately?
I’ve been testing out different methods of making iced coffee. I guess you got one of the bad ones.
Been taken over by a whole bunch of girls lately.

Everyone’s entitled to his or her take on the CR as long as one’s not causing pain to another; sensible, informative, encouragement or just plain silliness. I guess you could say a person is discerned by what he/she talks or writes. Right – you figured me out!!
The coffee room just goes through phases. This is one of them.

No, not quite. As a matter of fact I think animals are generally referred to as feminine even when explicitly talking about the male version.
It has to do with a s/n used many many years ago, no one here remembers (not eve SI..). Not really a feminine thingy, but I guess it could more easily bend thataway. I chose it for a specific purpose, mainly to thwart someone off my tracks, which did, in fact, work for some time. OH THOSE GOOD TIMES!!!!
In my convos here I purposefully kept out of the mingling, never had a any close person to person chat with the ‘other side’ ?”?. While I ran apparently freely and blithely amok, I kept a respectful, veiled distance from the other side. My general tone was always gender neutral, (a bit juvenile, or downright silly).
I’ve gotten slightly busier since, lost some interest (r”l), other things happened, not so pleasant memories.. y’know as they say life moves on… I don’t own the place anymore, but I do look here from time to time…
LF – I was gonna skip this because of the bad memories attached to it but I know that you appreciate kind words so please take this that way — I don’t know why you would be lamenting those posting days (or specifically that persona). I have found this new persona to be real, sensitive, thoughtful and filled with an anivus that makes the words easier to read and accept. I don’t remember the ‘old way’ with any similarity to how you remember it and I am grateful for the way things have been this time around.

The only thing I am wondering is what new alias all my old Coffee Room friends now go by. I see Health has remained the same, and of course popa but where’s GOQ? Where’s that angry boy who was beat up by his bi-polar mother? The one who is a good writer.? I see WOLFISH is still the same.
Can anyone enlighten me as to who is who these days?

Don’t worry. Everyone here who still posts here now are the same as then. Except mine. I’m sure you’ve met up with Little Froggie #1. And The Golem Speaks I & II. And Oh Shreck! Honey Do & New Kid on the Block. All of them were me (GASP!!) They qualify for Single User, because I used only one at a time! There’s another one I have now, reserved for a more brighter, happier mindset.
And then there’s this old one… (hint – starts with the letter Z)

Ok, I have been here on and off. Personal issues required my attention elsewhere, and I didn’t really have the head for continuous visits to my favorite coffee room. I hope you are all well, and wish you a gebensched and HEALTHY year filled with much bracha and meaning.

I’m here, just trying to stay out of traffic (literally). Perhaps when that cocoa room gets started, we can make separate sections for the different kinds of ice coffee too…

“What happened to the CR?” is probably a valid question once
every few months. There are constants, and some carryover from
one period to the next, but eventually the environment changes
enough that it sort of doesn’t quite feel the same. (Am I wrong?)

I had that for some time, and it just went over EVERYONE! It was like a play one the Maggid series.. Nobody here ever bothered to note that a Golem, by definition, cannot speak!!!

There are a lot of familiar names in this thread. I took a hiatus of several years and hadn’t noticed many names that I know. So this is where you have been hanging out. I was posting several years ago in the limerick days – hence my subtitle. I am not too terribly late to wish everyone a very happy and healthy year.

Our lawyer friend from CT has been rather quiet lately. Perhaps, in deep discussions with his old college friends about a contest they’ve entered into, which reaches its climax next week.
