7:25PM EST: [UPDATE BELOW] Dozens of NYPD officers & members of Boro Park Shomrim (BSSP) are on the hunt for a black SUV wanted for an attempted abduction just moments ago.
Although details are still sketchy, BSSP tell YWN the following initial information:
The incident occurred on 48th Street between 15th & 16th Avenue’s at approximately 6:15PM (Thursday afternoon). A dark colored SUV driving down the street suddenly stopped, and two males with a dark complexion attempted to abduct a Jewish 8-year-old boy. The child began screaming as they tried pulling him into the vehicle, and let him go and drove off.
As of this posting, the NYPD has ordered a “Level 1 Mobilization”, and an investigation is underway.
UPDATE 7:44PM EST: YWN has just learned that thanks to the fast work of the NYPD & Boro Park Shomrim, the NYPD has located the vehicle, and made an arrest on 18th Avenue & 55th Street. Our sources tell us that the child has made a positive ID on the vehicle and the suspect.

#1 and #5 comments are very important. Parents should teach there children what to do in case of an abduction. Also, parents must watch there children at all times, especially when school ends at 4:30 and it doesn’t get dark till 7.
