Rabbi Dovid Orlofsky once again joins Nesivos Tours to create the perfect 4-Day Getaway this Thanksgiving weekend – November 21-25, 2012 – this year in Venice!
According to Rabbi Yehuda Fried, Director of Nesivos, Venice was the destination of choice because “our groups are looking for the right mix of touring, Torah lectures, Jewish content and history, famous sites, fine dining, and downtime with family and friends – Venice offers all of that and more…and of course Rabbi Orlofsky’s inspiring lectures and personal style are a big attraction.”
Discovering Jewels – Venice and Padua are home to some of Europe’s oldest shuls and are the real jewels of Italy. Joining the group is Rabbi Doniel Baron, who, in addition to his experience, enthusiasm, and passion for Jewish Italian history, will take the group through the rich Jewish history of Venice, Padua, and other communities and offer fascinating insights about their Torah luminaries.
Getting Lost – Venice is one of the most unique cities in the world and participants on this getaway will be treated to an experience of a lifetime; walking through Venice’s labyrinth of walkways, alleyways, taking guided tours of the Jewish Ghetto and its ancient shuls, seeing famous sites and architecture, visiting the glass factories and magnificent shops on the islands of Murano and Burano, taking a relaxing boat ride through the Grand Canal and more. The sheer magnificence of St. Mark’s square with its stunning plaza that opens up to a spectacular view of the Adriatic Sea is truly breathtaking. Integral to the whole Venice experience is to “lose” oneself wandering through the streets so we will make sure that the group will have free time to enjoy the amazing shopping and take in Venice’s charms on their own.
