Air raid sirens began blaring on Thursday at 7 a.m. and continued for several hours as Iran fired seven missile barrages at Israel, including at central Israel, the Shomron, and Jerusalem.

A cluster munition hit Tel Aviv, lightly injuring three people. In an earlier salvo, munitions from a cluster bomb hit a street in the Arab city of Kafr Qasim in central Israel, injuring five people and causing extensive damage. The blast wave overturned two cars.

Dramatic security camera footage shows two people exiting their car and running inside during the siren, an act that saved their lives when a munition hit the street seconds later. Two cars flew into the air and flipped over from the blast wave.

MDA paramedic Tomer Gusman, who arrived first at the scene, said: “We arrived at the scene within a few minutes with intensive care units and ambulances. We saw commotion at the scene. We started searching inside a house that suffered extensive damage. Five people who were inside the house were injured by the blast. We carried out initial medical treatment and then evacuated them in MDA ambulances to the hospital in light condition.”

Also, two homes in separate yishuvim in the Shomron were hit by shrapnel from interceptor missiles,  causing extensive damage. B’Chasdei Hashem, the residents were uninjured as they were in their protected room.

Yossi Dagan, head of the Samaria Regional Council, called on the Defense Ministry and Home Front Command to immediately address gaps in shelters and protected rooms in the Shomron.

“Everyone now understands that Shomron is in the line of interception fire. Despite this, entire neighborhoods in Shomron yishuvim remain without protection. Residents here are left completely exposed to falling interception fragments that can kill. Disaster is at our doorstep, chalilah.”

He demanded an immediate increase in budget for caravans and protection of new yishuvim, adding: “We must not bring politics into this—this is about human lives. We can’t wait for the next disaster to fix this injustice. It’s time for the state to take responsibility for protecting the residents of the Shomron.”
