Transportation Ministry Puts an End to ‘How am I Driving’ Stickers

2The common “how do I drive” stickers seen on the rear of buses and trucks will soon become a thing of the past. The stickers have a phone number permitting motorists and pedestrians to phone and report a particular driving act by a vehicle with the sticker. The Ministry of Transportation however feels the stickers lead to drivers making phone calls and as such, the commonplace stickers will soon be a thing of the past.

At present, the stickers were required under the law in the hope of compelling drivers to be increasingly cautious. The theory now has changed and officials feel that the stickers add to hazards and accidents as they lead to more drivers using their cellular telephones while operating a vehicle.

It remains unclear at present if the law will be changed or the ministry will cease enforcement of the current law compelling the placement of the sticker on certain vehicles.
