The Tel Aviv Art Museum Faces East To Attract Chinese Visitors

1In response to the increasing number of Chinese tourists visiting Israel, the Tel Aviv Museum of Art has recently added Chinese language booklets and flyers to its collection of materials available to museum goers. Comparing June 2015 and June 2016, the number of Chinese tourists visiting Israel has grown by 94 percent.

The new booklet is entitled, “A Tour of the Top Ten Masterpieces of the Tel Aviv Museum of Art”, allowing Chinese visitors to have a short and focused tour of the museum.

In addition, the Museum produces a monthly flyer in Chinese which details the various exhibitions taking place that month, and where they are located in the museum buildings.

The Tel Aviv Museum of Art is well known for its collection of modern and contemporary art. It is also home to a vast collection of Israeli art from its very beginning to present days. In 2011 a new wing was added to the museum, awarding it the best museum for 2012 in Travel & Leisure Magazine.

  1. Oh I thought they meant that the museum will literally face east. Actually I think Chinese like their homes to be facing east.
