Turkish National Arrested In Israel And Deported


arrest2Authorities on Wednesday, second day chol hamoed Sukkos in Israel, permitted publicizing the arrested of a 32-year-old Turkish national three weeks ago.

Ohrhan Biruk was taken into custody by security authorities on suspicion of security crimes and after being detained since his arrest, he was deported on Wednesday 17 Tishrei. It is reported that Biruk has visited Israel in the past in his capacity as a tour guide and last month, he was arrested at Ben-Gurion Airport. It is reported he also visited Har Habayis during his last visit and is suspected of maintaining ties with Iranian intelligence.

The Shin Bet has decided to deport him back to Turkey. A partial lifting of the gag order in the case permits publicizing his arrest and subsequent deportation.
