MK (National Union) Prof. Aryeh Eldad calls Prime Minister Ehud Olmert�s contacts with Syria �treasonous�.

Eldad explains that he believes Olmert is using this as a media spin � an effort to distract the public and police from his current woes surrounding the investigations against him for alleged widespread corruption.

In the meantime, a member of the cabinet, Education Minister (Labor) Prof. Yuli Tamir praised the dialogue between Israel and Damascus, calling it a step towards breaking the Syrian-Iranian axis and a major step towards bringing peace to the region.
