Maybe someone can explain to me, you have dems on the one hand totally ready to give out all this stimulus, having big agendas on climate and rights, not enough common sense.
Then reps don’t want to spend don’t want to compromise, stick to their principles even if people are getting hurt, or if they’re wrong.February 5, 2021 11:41 am at 11:41 am #1945625☕️coffee addictParticipantWhat is your question?
February 5, 2021 11:42 am at 11:42 am #1945626akupermaParticipantIn the long run, no more significant than Yankees vs Mets, Orioles vs Nats, Cubs vs White Sox, Nets v Knicks, Jets v Giants, Rangers v Islanders, Ravens v ex-Redskins, etc.
The major difference is that professional athletes understand it’s only a game, whereas the politicians think they really do control the universe (hint: we know better).

Dems saw what happened after they enacted a too-small stimulus in 2009. Voters blamed them (correctly) for compromising with Republicans and creating a really sluggish recovery. As a result the Democrats lost 6 seats in the Senate and 63 seats in the House of Representatives. They aren’t going to make that mistake again.

You mean the bailout to the auto unions that didn’t help the average Americans?

So ‘Voters blamed them (correctly) for compromising with Republicans’ and then voted Republican?
Those voters aren’t very clever.February 7, 2021 2:51 pm at 2:51 pm #1946032torahvaluesoverpartyParticipantMA-👆👆👍👍😂😂

February 8, 2021 7:23 am at 7:23 am #1946128Abba_SParticipantA big problem for the Democrats is they need every senator to pass legislation and many of them are over 65. If one of them gets sick there goes their majority. If they retire and or die the governor of thier state can replace him with someone from his party changing control of the Senate.
