Me and a few of my chaverim were recently talking about different yeshivas.
I mentioned how Telshe Chicago is a much shtarker yeshiva than Telshe Cleveland . This seemed to upset many of them especially one of them, he yelled at me(in public) That im a kofer for tryng to minimize the Gadlus of such an amazing Torah institution. besides for the fact he was totally wrong, im very upset with my friend and haven’t spoken to him in a week., – the problem is our wife’s are great friends and this is creating an awkward situation. I just wanted to make sure im right about the yeshiva before banning my wife from talking to his wife.

This sounds more like an issue of Shalom more than who is right or wrong. Even if you’re right, machlokes isn’t worth it. I would suggest that you try to make shalom before fanning the flame.

Do the Vilna Gaon’s gorel to decide whether to divorce your friend or whether to divorce your wife.

And with that, the trolls settle back down into their long winter hibernation.

You “ban” your wife from talking to another woman because you disagree with her husband?

    I pity your wife.

Telshe Cleveland unfortunately lost its prestige some years ago. It’s happened before to other great Yeshivos in Eretz Yisroel as well as in the Diaspora. It’s an unfortunate golus trend.

Depends if you want to wind through the gemara quickly with just learning bekiyus like a windy city of Chicago or learn more serious and deep beiyun learning then Cleveland Telz is for you.

May Hashem give you lots of Hatzlacha whichever Yeshiva you end up going to.

No fights in these serious yeshivas only Shalom

as i expected you or one of your goons would have some nasty response for this thread.
I understand if you dont agree with an issue, and there are two things to do about this.
    1) Polity and clearly state your opinion with a understandable reason, or…..
    2) DONT POST HATEFULL TRASH ON THE YWNCR- we get it, we know you hate yourself but it dosnt need you need to respond!!!!!!!!

I realize that this thread is satire and doesn’t merit a serious response, but having familiarity with both Telshe Yeshivas I cannot resist. IMO both yeshivas are wonderful yeshivas, with both having stronger and weaker tekufos. Both yeshivas have the Mayla of incredible Rabbaim and Rosh Yeshivas that make life time impressions on the bochurim.

Telshe Cleveland, does however have one advantage that can’t be overlooked. The large campus that allows bochurim to be fully immersed in yeshiva without leaving for weeks or even months at a time is of immeasurable value.

Yes but the Telshe Cleveland campus (btw it’s actually in wickliffe) is also right next to a gigantic church from which bells can be heard tolling at every hour. Could lead to some bad hashpaos. Perhaps that is what the OP meant when he called it less shtark.

    @ Bob
this is what you posted on 6/22/22
“As per the decision of my doctor I am taking a mental leave from YWNCR.”
I nothing about the issue per se, because I know its satire and troll, perhaps you may want to extend your leave

    Dear Bob,

Since you have no qualms about sharing kefirah in public, I have no choice but to ignore you. And if the mods are true believes in the amittus of Telshe, you will be permanently banned from this site.

The two Telshe Yeshivos are at this point both strong Yeshivos but the Chicago branch may be a little bit more so, the Cleveland Yeshiva since the infighting ended is building itself back up and is a very strong if not as Elitist a Yeshivah for now-will have to see what the future brings

Regarding the end of your comment- you banning your wife from speaking to her close friend- that should definitely create a hostile house for you to live in!!

I said a mental leave-which meant I would be LEAVING the CR for a while, but returned when I felt the time was right.
On a separate point I think everyone is a little too judgmental and are missing the main points in the question

Look at the U.S. News and World Report ranking of yeshivos and then decide. In case of a tie, make your decision depending on whether your BFFs live in Chicago or Cleveland and whether Illinois or Ohio has more liberal recreational Canabis legislaton. Also reminder that Telshe Cleveland is only about a 15 minute drive from the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame but Chicago is home of the Cubbies.
Alternatively, get some good tutorials on how to frame a good troll.

As a Chicagoan, I can guarantee you that Illinois wins hands down on the cannabis angle. And Michael Jordan brought more championships in 8 years than the Cubbies have in a century and a half. And of course more than the Indians, Browns, and Cavs combined.
