Life for southern residents is once again a reality of daily rocket attacks and the need to be near a shelter. On Sunday night the eve of 2 Tammuz 5774, rockets were fired from the Khan Yunis area of Gaza. Sirens were heard in Netivot, Sderot and area communities. A number of the rockets were intercepted by the Iron Dome defense system while others landed in open areas. B�chasdei Hashem there were no fatalities or injuries in those attacks either.

On motzei Shabbos, rockets slammed into Sderot factories, resulting in a major fire that destroyed the factories. �Officials on Sunday reported the damage is estimated in the tens of millions of shekels. B�chasdei Hashem there were no fatalities. A number of people sustained light injuries.

Shortly following the Sunday night attack the IAF struck terrorists preparing rockets for launching. According to reports from Gaza, a Hamas terrorist was eliminated and three other terrorists were injured. One of the cell members is reported in serious condition.
