TALKS CONTINUE: Lebanon Emerges As Major Sticking Point In Ongoing U.S.-Iran Negotiations

U.S.-Iran talks remained underway in Switzerland despite Iranian media reports claiming Tehran had suspended negotiations following President Trump’s threats over Hezbollah’s actions in Lebanon.

• Senior representatives from the U.S., Iran, Qatar, and Pakistan met Sunday at the Bürgenstock resort, with Vice President JD Vance and Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi among the participants.

• Officials involved in the talks said Lebanon has become a major obstacle to a broader agreement, alongside the Strait of Hormuz, U.S. sanctions, and frozen Iranian assets.
