It was a difficult Shabbos for southern area residents, with no less than 66 rockets striking the area. Five people sustained light shrapnel injuries and many others were treated for hysteria.

A wooden home in Netivot was hit with a rocket shortly after Shabbos. The entire home exploded and miraculously, a woman inside sustained only light injuries. He husband was nearby in shul when the home was destroyed.

Other rockets over the weekend (Friday/Shabbos) landed in area deeper into Israel, including Kiryat Malachi, Ashdod, and Ashkelon.

A sort time ago, a bit before 8:30AM Sunday, three rockets landed in Sderot. MDA paramedics at the impact site report four people are injured lightly by shrapnel and others are being treated for hysteria.
