
The festivities began in the house of Maran, Rav Chaim, shlita, in the presence of over 50�magidei shiurim organized by “Dirshu” throughout the city of Beitar Eilit for the official�siyum.
Afterwards thousands of Beitar Eilit residents participated last night in a demonstration of�Kavod HaTorah organized by “Dirshu” celebrating the finishing of Seder Nashim and the�beginning of Seder Nezikim. The celebration took place in the main auditorium on Breslau�Street with the participation of Maranan and Rabbanan Gedolei Yisroel, shlita, who came�purposely for the Kavod HaTorah and to encourage and strengthen the participation in�learning the Daf Yomi.
Masechet Kidusin was finished by the Gaon Rabbi Moshe Tuvia Weissberger, shlita, the Rav�and Av Beth Din of Kehal Yerai’im-Budapest in Shechunat Hagefen while the Gaon Rav Yishai�Elfenbein, shlita, magiud shiur in Beit Hamedrash of Yeshivat Haran in the Dekel�neighborhood, began Mesechet Bava Kama.
The Gaon Rav Chaim Feinstein, shlita, Rosh Yeshivat Beit Yehudah and Ateret Shlomo�delivered fiery Divrei Torah in the honor of the Torah and its learners. Maran, HaGr”ach,�shlita, inspired the gathering by granting a myriad of brachot on the heads of all those who�learn and teach the daf yomi.�Afterwards they traveled to Beitar Eilit where they were met by the thousands of�participants who gathered in the honor of the Torah and greeted them with songs and�dance. The gathering was opened by the Rabbanim Rebbe Dovid Tzvi Ordentklich, shlita, and�and Rebbe Yaakov Tofik, shlita, who stressed the necessity of widening the scope of the�number of shiurim both in Beitar and outside of it. The President of “Dirshu”, Rabbi Dovid�Hofstedter, shlita, gave his blessings to and described his admiration for the participants of�the Daf Yomi cycle with the fervent hope of enlarging the numbers of shiuruim L’Hagdil�Toirah U’Leha’adirah.
During the evening the crowd was addressed by the Gaon HaRav Shalom Cohen, shlita, the�President of the Moetzes Chachmei HaTorah, the Gaon HaRav Baruch Mordechai Ezrachi,�shlita, Rosh Yeshivat Atteret HaToarh and the Gaon HaRav Michel Silber, Rosh Yeshivat�Zevhil. Reb Yisropel Adler led the musical arrangements together with the Malchut choir�under the direction of Reb Pinchas Bichler and Reb Zanvil Weinberger sang accompanied by�the orchestra of Reb Moshe (Monah) Rosenblum.
The festivities were broadcast on a closed circuit broadcasting system to the overflowing�crowds in the streets around the auditorium.
