there were two amazing families (both with more than 8 kids!!!) in the city where i was born who took me and my three siblings in for weeks/months at a time when my parents were in hospital/unable to care for us. and then there was the family that took me in, free boarding, when i was in 11th grade…and the family that took me in, free boarding and love, after i finished seminary…
