I have had the zechus of having many different people coming to my house from many places and I was glad that we were able to communicate in a common language of yiddish.
I have also been able to meet many gedolim in eretz yisroel, including R Shlomao Zalman, ZTL and R Chaim Kanievsky Shlita, R Aron Leib Shteinman Shlita and R Refoel Levine Ztl and because I understand Yioddish we were able to talk. The love of fellow yiddin was clearly apparent.
