Being a Mandated Reporter MEANS you are saving someones LIFE. If you are a professional and someone tells you of a predator you are mandated by law to report it to the police. Do you know why? Because you will save others from going through the horrors of what your patient is going through. Don’t for one minute look for ways of getting around being a mandated reporter. If you are seriously looking into a profession that “helps” people then take that responsibility seriously! Speak to you own doctors and pediatricians who are also mandated reporters and hear what they say. They will tell you which Rabbonim to speak to on the subject.
