There’s “off” and there’s “off”… it’s a very fine line, but there’s a very big difference. It’s not always as simple as the way JayMatt put it. Not always is the “right choice” through kindness/love. Mostly- yes, but again- not always. You have to really be on your toes and you have to daven, daven, daven. Only Hashem can give you the da’as to do the right thing.
