Pashuteh Yid, I wanted to focus on places with low taxes and more robust economic growth. For that, you need to head south and west (Dallas, Phoenix, Atlanta, Denver, Norfolk). Not to mention that the weather is better! But of course, Boston also has a very nice community. Same with Scranton and Cleveland and Detroit and Milwaukee… Also we shouldn’t forget Seattle and Portland.
All major cities in the United States have Orthodox communities that would welcome new families. Some cities have more options in terms of chinuch and shuls than others, but you can’t go wrong with any major city. And you’ll be doing your family a favor in terms of Jewish life and quality of life in general.
