Sure! Here’s a list of some of the free apps available on the App Store:
– Yeshiva World News
– Torah Anytime. Their app isn’t for ios 8, but they’ll be coming out with an update any day now. The app is amazing! I strongly urge you to download it. It has a few bugs, but they’ll be fixed in the next update. They have video shiurim from over two hundred speakers, including Rabbi Zechariah Wallerstein, Rabbi Benzion Klatzko, Rabbi Yosef Veiner, Mr. Charlie Harari, Rebbetzin Yemima Mizrachi, and many other prominent speakers.
– Aish
– sefiras haomer app. Dunno what the one I use is called, cuz I delete it from year to year, but there’s a free app that works wonderfully, and is very useful.
– Iberacha- this app is very useful- it has a search engine that you can use to find the correct bracha for virtually any food item, and it has Birchas Hamazon.
– Siddurapp- this app is the best free siddur in the App Store (in my opinion), but it only has the Ashkenazi nusach. The format is very clear. If you want sephard, there are several other free apps that offer both nusachim.
– there is an app with all the zemanim, I forget what it is called. Search the app store for it.
– ??? ??? ???? is an app with the hebrew calendar. It isn’t very clear, and has ads in very annoying places, but it’s the only free one on the App Store…
– shema@bed is an app with Kriyas Shema Al Hamita. It was made for kids, but it also has he full version for adults. It’s very useful.
– there are several apps which contain Tehillim. I don’t use any of them, because I find that it’s harder to have concentration when reading from a screen, so I can’t tell you which one is good.
– The Shmuz is an app that contains over 200 of Rabbi Bentzion Shafeir’s shiurim.
– Kol Halashon is an app with shiurim from thousands of rabbonim. It has a few bugs, and its setup isn’t very user friendly, but it’s still pretty good. It has shiurim in six different languages.
– Torah Lectures is another app with shiurim. I downloaded it just so I could hear Rabbi Dovid Orlofsky’s shiur on Platinic Relationships. I liked the shiur so much, I kept the app just for that.
– Divine Information is an app containing many lectures by Rabbi Yosef Mizrachi. It has a few bugs (video lectures don’t play), but it’s worth it anyways.
– Jewish Music is an app that streams jewish music 24/7. It’s very good- I like their song choices.
– YWN Music
– Jroot Pro- get the pro app, not the other one. This app isn’t all that great- it crashes often, but the shows are ok.
– Nachum Segal. There are some great shows on this app. I’d recommend it.
Hope this helps!
