000646: I most certainly have responded to you on that point. Kibud Av V’Eim, one of the Aseres Hadibros, takes precedence for a husband. That is the halacha l’maaisa today as it always was. We don’t scratch out portions of Shulchan Aruch to comply with modern sensibilities. (And when was this conversation about a fight, anyways?)
