If the neviim and kesuvim were good enough for our Rishonim to spend time and write perushim on each possuk, then it’s good enough for me to at least bother to learn that NACH, and read what the meforshim had to say. Apparently THEY did not consider it to be bitul Torah to learn it. So who am I to think I am better than they?
