My family who went to Law school always said the best guys their were the Yeshiva boys (and it was a top 10 law school). They wanted to posit the svara that the ability to formulate logical progressions (fluid intelligence) was much more progressed in the Yeshiva students than in those who had gone to conventional undergrad programs and had spent virtually all their time developing crystallized intelligence by memorizing facts. The logic- building of a blatt Gemara is worth a tremendous amount when it comes to studying the more logical derech halimud which is set forth in Law school.
