I used bad phraseology. The Tzlach doesn’t say that we don’t pasken like Bruriah/R’ Meir; he says that we see from the preceding and subsequent Gemaros that the pasuk is not ???? ???? ????? (in that it refers to the downfall of the reshaim themselves).
