There is no OBLIGATION to hear Kaddish. Nor is there an obligation for an individual to hear the Torah reading. There are Poskim who hold that praying with a minyan is not obligatory either. We may not follow those opinions but it helps to keep them in mind to enable you to be more patient and understanding. I would not rebuke him. That is the role of his Rav or Rosh Kollel. What you can do is clarify why it really pains you and share your feelings with him.
