With all due respect to Rav Wasserman, I doubt he thought of the idea of Gas Chambers, He likely felt there would just be anti-semitism perhaps severe Anti-Semitism. In that context his statements make sense
But like almost everyone else including people who were in the Ghettos they could not fathom the idea of mass executions. I doubt he would have chosen the choice of mass executions.
