The kids here want their parents to do everything they do (that I mentioned) for their shidduch search. This is the real-world scenario in many frum families. There are more Orthodox families that handle shidduchim as I described (more or less) than how you feel it should be done (with the type of input from the child excluding the parental involvement mentioned.)
Anyways, this is all besides the point. If your imagination is too close minded to accept or role play such a scenario, then you don’t have to participate in this exercise.
