In todays climate going down to city hall and protest an abomination not only will not get you what you want, It will backfire and you will be called a hateful bigot and when you want something from city hall you will unlikley be able to get it.
Dont forget who the previous city council speaker was, The city council speaker is the second most powerful person in NYC and calling her an abonimation is not very smart
