Absolutely. And anything beats prison. The last high profile NY escaped prisoner, “Bucky” Phillips, was on the lam for five months. After he was caught he said those were the best five months in his life. (Not to glamorize it, as he murdered a State Trooper while loose, but from his perspective living in the forest beats living in jail.)
