Maybe the term apikorsim is being used by different people to mean different things. The Rambam in the third perek of hilchos teshuva lists the different categories of apikorsim. I assume that if a secular zionists fall under any of those categories then religious zionists will agree that the secular zionists are apikorsim. If they don’t fall under any of those categories then in what sense are they apikorsim? Now once we agree on whether or not they are apikorsim, it simply becomes a shailah as to whether the benefit of davening at the kotel is valued more or less than ??? ????? ?? ?????????? which is a very general question with ostensibly no relevance to zionism.
