Chazal tell us that Tzidkiyahu was a tremendous tzaddik. The Gemara in Sanhedrin relates that though Hashem wanted to destroy the world because of the wicked generation of
Hashem judges every person and every action, and the greater the person, the greater the scrutiny. A slight misdeed could go a long way and we have to constantly focus on rectifying ourselves and our actions. At the same time, we must be aware of our own self worth and the enormous value of every good deed that we perform.
