Warmer weather means less snow, meaning fewer floods when the snow melts – but less runoff replenishing reservoirs. Warmer weather is good for animals who suffer high mortality over the winter (but more fawns making it to be yearlings means more pesty deer), and a lot of annoying small pests thrive with the warmer winters.
Of course, a warm December doesn’t prove we’ll have a warm March.
