Shopping613- Thanks for your kind words:). About staying for a while… We just had a Yom Kippur, and the best way of starting a fresh and clean year (in my yetzer tov’s opinion) is not for me to be in a coffee room where any random stranger could post his/her opinions which can seem like da’as Torah when it’s often not, and to be online more often than absolutely necessary, as per the psak of our gedolim (I don’t want anyone countering that, please!). But for the moment, as I think about what will work for me in terms of staying pure this year, I decided that if I need to give in to a taavah online, let it be by following these threads and not by opening unholy sites. I realize that since I am long out of the school system, my intellectual and spiritual vacuum needs to be filled or my physical inclinations will dominate- which leads very quickly to an unraveling of a person’s whole value system and to emptiness. Take advantage of high school, seminary, and learning. I miss it sooo much! There’s no other time in your life of constant growth in an incubated enviroment like that.
Ivory- you could say that again! Oh how I wish I was 99% pure too!!!
