During a meal while I was in seminaryI saw a riot going on and my hostess commented to me that although we may not agree with what they are doing, look at their determination. Look at what they are willing to sacrifice in order to send the message they want to send. They are willing to get throw in to jail, trampled be embarrassed, and even push off their Shabbos meals’ in order to defend what they believe.
When I see that I think- would I be willing to give that up if I saw something going against what I believe and stand for? I’m not sure….
Again, I not stating my opinion on whether or not I agree with it, but would I have that determination?)
