I’m soooooo not into kiruv. I saw that you seemed to feel like you are way behind others your age in learning (and you seemed like you wouldn’t mind if you wouldn’t be), so I figured that maybe you’d enjoy learning with someone without any pressure ot kiruving, so I offered to help find someone. Your initial reaction was hey, why not? That reaction makes sense to me. However, if after thinking about it you’re too closed minded to be willing to believe that someone may actually be willing to learn with you without trying to be makarev you, then just forget about it. If you change your mind, please let me know – the offer remains on the table.
BTW, the geshmake kid part was true, not a false compliment for kiruv purposes. From all your posts you do seem like a very geshmake person. Not everyone becomes Mr. Popularity here their first week. (except tonight when you seem a bit too cranky to be called geshmak, lol. Did you have a lousy shabbos?)
