There are signs at a lot of the entrances to NYC
“NYC begged for an exemption from this gas-saving policy on grounds that it was too dangerous in such an urban area.”
I thought it was because New Yorkers don’t know how to follow directions. Same reason a lot of right turns have stop signs where there should be yield signs.
