You clearly aren’t reading what people wrote.
There was a limit of one (or two) per customer from the US Mint (btw it’s the actual US Mint, not some other company). That’s why people CAN’T just do this instead of working. That’s why the dealer CAN’T buy them all by himself.
The main reasons people felt it was a “scam” are
1)The dealer was using a trick to circumvent the limit set by the Mint
2)People could have sold the coins themselves for more than the dealer was offering, albeit sacrificing a bit of convenience
It’s not a free money scam, it’s a simple business deal. If you would just read you would see that.
