And 100 years ago, it might have been the majority opinion of the principals and administrators who ran the public schools, who used this belief as a reason not to hire frum (or other Jewish) teachers. Fortunately for some of my ancestors, your view did not prevail, and they became successful (and beloved) teachers and principals, for Jews and goyishe kids alike. In fact, you might have benefited from a year with my aunt or cousin.
