What is Gelilah? “Reserved for the most pathetic person in the synagogue… an older unmarried male…????” Sounds very discriminatory to me. You aren’t going to be a Torah Jew if you discriminate and make the older unwedded males or other minority feel ashamed. This is not the Torah that I know.
