Black is a staple in many wardrobes, but I doubt that anyone wears black from head to toe every single day. An if you are wearing a pretty green sweater, red nail polish totally clashes. On the other hand, a neutral color goes with everything.
And anyways, from what I have seen, the people who are likely to get a red manicure, probably wear more colors than just black.
