Abba_s: I did not voice an opinion as to which way is better. I only noted what my experience has been. I have both sons and daughters in the shidduch process. If a shidduch is read for my son and we say yes, we don’t listen to or check out other girls until we get an answer from the girls side. When a shidduch was read for my daughter we do our best to do our research within a reasonable amount of time. If the shaddchan starts pressing we just say we are checking into it.
