Anivus is self-effacement, which is a commendable trait; self denigration is not.” where is this quote from the Chofetz Chaim Ive always heard the story about the Chofetz Chaim dengrating himself on a train and someone slapped him and he said one can’t say lashon hara about himself but then i heard someone say that his grandaughter said that story isn’t true
so i want a source
