Maybe you’re going to the wrong weddings. I do not recall any family simcha where pictures took two hours. I am not a professional photographer but I do take pictures at weddings and the baalei simcha always appreciate them. It’s a historical record of a major life event and reminiscing about a time when there were no pictures is like those who are nostaligic for a time before electricity or the telephone.
